Allied Waste Management (AWM) is based in Toowoomba providing waste management services and
environmental solutions for agriculture, industry, government and communities in south-west
Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Allied Waste Management (AWM) maintains a versatile fleet of trucks and tankers ranging in size from
6,000 to 36,000 litres. All fleet operators are trained safety officers who take pride in maintaining an
efficient service via a safe, reliable fleet of tankers
All tankers are fitted with oil spill kits, night work emergency lighting, fire extinguishers and dangerous
goods kits.
These tankers collect sewage, septic, grease trap and other organic Waste streams plus hydrocarbon
waste, e.g. oily water. Dangerous Goods and hazardous waster (liquid and solid) are also collected
from industrial and agricultural generators in the region for transfer to NIS for treatment and disposal.
Due to the rural location of the facility they also collect agricultural waste like herbicide, pesticide and
arsenic solutions from cattle dips. AWM specialises in pond and dam remediation, plus tyres and
batteries are just two examples of the diverse waste streams collected so a total package is offered
to the generators in this vast rural region.
Nationwide Oil (NWO) has a transfer station on site for the amalgamation of used oil which is collected
from locaL, rural and industrial generators including the mining and cotton industries, and a power
station by their locally based fleet. Sub-depots are located throughout the region. The used oil is then
transported to Narangba (NWO) to be recycled for use as an Industrial Fuel Oil.
