Queensland Organic Recycling Systems (QORS) was established to develop and promote large-scale
food waste composting in Australia. Headquartered in Swanbank, Qld, QORS operates large scale
composting facilities at two locations.
QORS' approach to waste management uses a holistic plan involving the loading, transportation and
processing of organics from commercial and Council sites. At QORS, material is processed to produce
products compliant with Australian Standards AS4454 and AS4419. These products are distributed
nationally for agricultural, horticultural and landscaping applications.
Expertise in composting, stabilisation and research has enabled QORS to develop horticultural products
containing slow release nutrients and useful soil micro-organisms. QORS markets the final composted
products as quality soil conditioners that contain high levels of organic matter, plant available nutrients,
carbon content and beneficial soil microbes.

QORS is committed to ensuring there is no environmental harm as
a result of its activities. A regular system of internal auditing to
ISO 14001 by our certified auditor is part of our Environmental
Management Plan. QORS is dedicated to offering a range of
professional environmental service capabilities designed to
ensure client's needs and expectations are satisfied.
QORS have current Organic Certification issued by the
Biological Farmers of Australia.
All QORS sites operate with full approval and
licensing from all state governments and authorities
including two licensed sites that are approved
by the Queensland Environmental Protection
Agency for large scale waste processing
